Driver II (Entry Level)

About the role

The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) is recruiting Kenyan citizens to fill three Driver II positions (Job Grade IPOA 11) within its Human Resource and Administration Directorate. The posts are based in Headquarters, Nairobi, regional offices and county offices, and the driver provides transport services in an effective and efficient manner. The consolidated salary is KSh 44,720 to 67,340 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the organization's vehicles as authorized.
• Carry out routine checks on the assigned vehicle and report any malfunction of vehicle systems or other occurrences.
• Maintain the movement of work tickets for the assigned vehicle(s).
• Maintain the security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road.
• Report all accidents and incidents promptly to the relevant IPOA offices.
• Administer first aid in the event of an accident.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.

Required profile

• KCSE mean grade of D (plain) or its equivalent qualification.
• At least two years' proven driving experience.
• Valid driving licence and a practical test passed by the Ministry of Transport or AA of Kenya.
• Suitability trade test for drivers.
• First-aid course certificate of at least one week from KIHBT or another recognized institution.
• Certificate of good conduct.
