Driver – Local Residents of Machakos County

About the role

The Driver will ensure smooth facilitation of World Vision Kenya staff and maintain a safe, healthy, and economical fleet. This role supports program activities by providing reliable transportation for staff, visitors, and donors.

Key responsibilities

• Timely facilitation of staff to and from work and official duties.
• Ensure safety of staff and vehicle during journeys.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, update movement logbook, and perform minor repairs.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, tools, and spare parts procurement.
• Prepare and submit monthly vehicle reports, invoices, and fuel returns.
• Facilitate delivery of parcels and mail in collaboration with administration.

Required profile

• KCSE Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years driving experience with Class C1, C, CE, D3, CD license.
• Basic knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance.
• Computer literacy.
• Reference letter from local chief.
• Resident of Machakos County.

Required skills

• Valid Class C1, C, CE, D3, CD driving licence.
• Basic motor vehicle maintenance skills.
• Computer literacy.
• First aid certification (preferred).
• Defensive driving certification (preferred).
