Driver – Local Residents of Machakos County

About the role

World Vision Kenya is seeking a driver to support staff and program activities across Machakos County. The role ensures safe, reliable transportation for staff, visitors, and donors while maintaining the fleet in good condition.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate timely transport of staff to work, official duties, and special events, ensuring safety throughout journeys.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, complete movement logbooks, perform routine checks, and arrange servicing and minor repairs.
• Prepare and submit monthly vehicle reports, fuel returns, and accident documentation for fleet management.
• Coordinate parcel and mail deliveries in collaboration with the Administration department.

Required profile

• KCSE certificate and minimum three years of driving experience with Class C1, C, CE, D3, or CD licences.
• Basic knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance and computer literacy.
• Reference letter from local chief and valid driver’s licence.
• First aid or defensive driving certification and prior NGO experience are advantageous.
• Must be a resident of Machakos County and provide CV, ID copy, and licence documentation.
