Driver (Local Residents of Tiaty, Baringo County)

About the role

World Vision Kenya is seeking a reliable driver to transport staff, visitors, and donors safely between the office, field sites, and other official duties. The position is open to residents of Tiaty constituency in Baringo County and is a fixed‑term local contract.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate timely transport of staff and visitors to and from work, field locations, and special events.
• Ensure the safety of occupants and the vehicle during all journeys.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, complete logbooks, and perform routine checks for mechanical soundness.
• Arrange minor repairs, coordinate major repairs through procurement, and report any malfunctions to the fleet office.
• Prepare monthly vehicle reports, forward invoices and fuel returns for payment, and keep documentation up to date.

Required profile

• KCSE certificate.
• Minimum three (3) years of driving experience with a valid, accident‑free driver’s license (class B, C1, C, CE, D3, CD).
• Basic knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance.
• Computer literate.
• First‑aid or safety certification and defensive‑driving certification are advantageous.
• Prior experience in an NGO environment and residency in Tiaty constituency are preferred.
