Career Directions Limited (CDL) · Nairobi Area
Job description
About the role
Career Directions Limited is recruiting, on behalf of its client, an in-house Dynamics 365 CRM (Customer Engagement) Developer. The client is implementing and scaling Dynamics 365 and is building an internal technical capability to support it. The role reports to the IT / Applications Manager (or designated ERP/CRM project lead) and works closely with key users, functional consultants, the F&O developer and the implementation partner. It is a full-time position focused on long-term ownership of the solution, from requirements through development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
Key responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and document functional and technical requirements with key users and stakeholders, and turn them into Technical Design Documents, solution specifications and effort estimates.
- Configure and customise Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement modules (Sales, Customer Service and others).
- Develop plug-ins, custom workflow activities and custom assemblies in C#/.NET, and JavaScript/TypeScript web resources, business rules and PCF controls.
- Build model-driven and canvas Power Apps, automate processes with Power Automate flows, and extend the Dataverse data model.
- Design integrations with other systems, including Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, using the Web API, Dual-write, Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
- Manage the solution lifecycle (Azure DevOps), run unit, SIT and UAT, fix defects, provide post-go-live support and maintain technical documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of hands-on Dynamics 365 CE / CRM development experience across the full implementation lifecycle.
- Strong requirement-elicitation and documentation skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical business users.
Required skills
- Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform development.
- C# / .NET for plug-ins and custom assemblies; JavaScript / TypeScript and HTML for web resources and PCF controls.
- Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Web API / OData and integration with REST/SOAP APIs and Azure services.
- Solid SQL and data modelling, source control and ALM with Azure DevOps / Git.
- Nice to have: exposure to Copilot Studio, Azure AI or Microsoft Fabric, and experience integrating CE with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations via Dual-write.
