E&I Planning Engineer – Industrial Projects (7 openings)

About the role

FMA Services is seeking experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Planning Engineers to join a fast‑growing team working on complex projects in the pharmaceutical, chemical and petrochemical sectors. You will act as the bridge between engineering, execution teams and the client, ensuring safe, efficient and on‑schedule delivery of work packages.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and structure detailed work packages for maintenance, projects and shutdowns.
• Perform technical reviews of P&IDs, diagrams and drawings.
• Compile material lists, request supplies and coordinate with engineering, supervisors and execution teams.
• Monitor planning, progress and budget, and prepare work permits and risk assessments.
• Support execution, commissioning, hand‑over and ensure quality, safety and planning compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an E&I Planning Engineer in industrial projects.
• Background in pharmaceutical, chemical or petrochemical environments (experience in any one sector is acceptable).
• Strong communication skills and an independent, structured way of working.

Required skills

• Electrical installations and instrumentation knowledge.
• Proficiency with P&IDs, electrical diagrams, loop drawings and isometrics.
• Experience with planning software or SAP (asset).
• Familiarity with ATEX guidelines and GMP environments (asset).
• Commissioning, loop checks or pre‑commissioning experience (asset).
• VCA VOL certificate (asset).
