Electric Mobility Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the establishment, implementation and operation of an electric mobility project in Kenya, starting with the pilot phase and progressing to full‑scale operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the pilot phase, monitoring timeline, budget and performance indicators.
• Supervise the consulting firm developing operational and technical systems and formally accept deliverables.
• Manage fleet operations including drivers, vehicles, batteries, charging, maintenance and spare parts.
• Oversee fleet management systems, GPS and IoT devices, and digital payment platforms.
• Identify suitable locations for showrooms, service centres, warehouses and charging/battery‑swapping sites.
• Coordinate with government authorities, insurance companies and local partners.
• Build and manage a network of suppliers, contractors and service providers.
• Monitor financial and operational performance, prepare reports for senior management in Doha and lead the post‑pilot scaling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business administration or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in project or operations management, preferably in a field‑based environment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electric vehicles, electric mobility, fleet management or a related sector.
• Proven ability to manage consultants, suppliers, contractors and partners.
• Strong analytical skills for financial and operational indicators and reporting.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
