Electrical Engineering Technician

About the role

The Electrical Engineering Technician will support the operation, maintenance, and technical performance of a power generation and cooling plant, ensuring reliable backup power and efficient distribution systems.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain generating plant equipment, auxiliary systems such as ventilation, fans, oil distribution and transfer systems.
• Conduct start‑up, shut‑down, and testing of plant sections and new equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform regular inspections, engineering tests, and provide technical assistance to supervisors.
• Analyze electrical equipment and control systems to improve plant operation, maintenance practices, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Develop and recommend corrective actions or alternative measures for system efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience working with power generation or cooling plant electrical systems.
• Ability to conduct engineering tests and interpret results.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to safety procedures.
