Process Engineering Intern

About the role

Qorvo is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to join its Global Operations team. The intern will gain hands‑on experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes within a clean‑room environment, working on real projects that support product development and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support one or more projects involving surface‑mount assembly, evaporation, CVD, PVD, thin‑film deposition, electroplating, plasma etch, photolithography, wafer dicing, CMP, and related processes.
• Troubleshoot process issues and optimize recipes.
• Collect data using metrology tools and analyze results with JMP, Spotfire, or Excel.
• Design and execute experimental fab engineering trials.
• Participate in component/die assembly projects, process optimization, and 5S continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Coursework or experience in semiconductor processing (assembly, PVD, CVD, lithography, etch, CMP).
• Self‑starter with strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in hands‑on engineering work in a clean‑room setting.

Required skills

• Experience with 3D printing, CAD tools, and SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Data analysis using JMP, Spotfire, or Excel.
