Electrician – Construction & Installations

About the role

SPATCO Energy Solutions is seeking an energetic Electrician to join its construction and installation teams. You will work on fueling and charging stations across retail, commercial, industrial and government sites, reading blueprints and ensuring all electrical work meets safety and code requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic equipment used in the petroleum industry.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems using ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, cable testers, ohm meters and meggers.
• Install conduits, pull wire, and make final connections to circuit breakers, pumps, dispensers, POS consoles, tank monitors and lighting.
• Inspect systems for compliance with safety standards, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Advise management and coworkers on hazards and safe operation of electrical systems.
• Assist estimators with material take‑off, cost calculations and labor allowances.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of Journeyman Electrician experience.
• Knowledge of electrician standards and codes.
• Detail‑oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift 75‑100 lb and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to follow company procedures and work under time constraints.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Use of hand and power tools, including conduit benders.
• Operation of ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, cable testers, ohm meters and meggers.
• Installation of conduits and pulling of wire.
• Troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
