Electromechanical Engineer

About the role

The Electromechanical Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining water and sewerage infrastructure to ensure a reliable 24/7 supply. The role combines extensive field work with office‑based planning and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of water and sewerage projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee field service activities, including installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of systems.
• Develop and implement operation‑and‑maintenance plans and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct on‑site inspections, troubleshoot issues, and devise technical solutions.
• Schedule and perform routine and preventive maintenance of infrastructure.
• Coordinate with project teams to guarantee timely and accurate project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and promote safety practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience designing, operating and maintaining water infrastructure systems.
• At least 4 years of hands‑on experience with machinery operation and maintenance.
• Proven project‑management experience, including planning, budgeting and monitoring.
• Member of relevant professional bodies (e.g., EBK).

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical systems, control systems and mechanical principles.
• Proficiency with engineering design, data‑analysis and project‑management software tools.
• Hands‑on expertise in machinery operation and maintenance.
