Entry-Level Internal Auditor

About the role

The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) in Nairobi is recruiting an Internal Auditor at the entry and training grade. The officer works under the guidance of a designated supervisor. FRC is a government agency established under section 21 of the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act No. 9 of 2009, whose main objective is to help identify proceeds of crime and combat money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation financing.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake audit assignments in line with the approved audit work plan
• Contribute to the preparation of audit reports for audit engagements
• Take part in evaluating the progress and effectiveness of actions taken to implement audit recommendations from internal and external audits
• Assist in information systems audit engagements, including testing and evaluating programmes, quality assurance and reporting of audit results
• Assist in implementing new technologies and business applications

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Finance & Accounting option) or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
• Proficiency in computer applications
