Entry-Level Petroleum Economic Analyst

About the role

This is an entry and training grade for the Petroleum Economic Analyst cadre within the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum. The officer will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer, gaining practical experience in petroleum market analysis and data management.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, compile and update refined petroleum products consumption data.
• Analyze data on petroleum projects and programmes.
• Forecast market trends for crude oil, gas and refined petroleum products.
• Participate in monitoring of petroleum supply chains and strategic stocks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Economics and Mathematics, Economics and Statistics, Petroleum Economics, Quantitative Economics, Public Policy Economics, or Statistics from a university recognised in Kenya.
• Entry‑level candidate; no specific experience required.

What we offer

• Basic salary scale Ksh 45,210 – Ksh 61,020 per month (CSG 10).
• House allowance Ksh 16,500 per month.
• Commuter allowance Ksh 5,000 per month.
