Environmental & Social Manager (EHS)

About the role

The Environmental & Social Manager (EHS) will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Environmental & Social Management System (ESMS). Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure compliance with local regulations, IFC Performance Standards and international ESG frameworks across operations and supply chains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and refine the ESMS, including policies, procedures and management plans.
• Maintain environmental and social risk registers and oversee risk identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring.
• Prepare and present ESG performance reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate E&S training and capacity‑building programmes across the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, certifications and IFC Performance Standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Environmental & Social Management, ESG, sustainability or EHS, preferably in agribusiness, food processing or impact‑finance projects.
• Demonstrated experience developing ESMS frameworks and stakeholder‑engagement programmes.
• Strong knowledge of IFC Performance Standards, World Bank EHS Guidelines and international ESG frameworks.
