Event Service Expert – Guest Event Specialist

About the role

Our Guest Event Experts create memorable experiences for guests by managing all aspects of events from set‑up to break‑down. In this full‑time position you will work on‑site at our JW Marriott property in Nairobi, ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly while maintaining a safe and professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and break down event materials, transport supplies and equipment.
• Take guest orders, interact with attendees and provide attentive service throughout the event.
• Lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Maintain a safe workplace by following company policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Ensure personal appearance, uniform and communications are professional at all times.
• Keep event areas clean and organized before, during and after functions.
• Assist with inventory management and timely replenishment of event supplies.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in event management, food & beverage, sales & marketing or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a 5‑star hotel or luxury service environment.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks safely.
