About the role
Our Guest Event Experts create memorable experiences by managing every aspect of events from setup to breakdown. Working at Marriott International’s JW Marriott in Nairobi, you will ensure each event runs smoothly and guests feel valued throughout.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and break down event materials, tables, chairs, and décor according to event specifications.
- Transport supplies and equipment to and from event spaces, ensuring timely delivery.
- Take guest orders, interact with attendees, and provide attentive service during events.
- Maintain a safe workplace by following company policies, quality standards, and proper uniform and appearance guidelines.
- Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Less than one year of related event or hospitality experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
