Executive Director

About the role

The Executive Director leads the organization in partnership with an active Board of Directors, driving the vision and mission forward. This senior leader builds and nurtures relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and the community to enhance impact and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Board to set strategic direction and ensure alignment with the organization’s mission.
• Develop, maintain, and expand partnerships with MCPS, allies, and community stakeholders.
• Lead fundraising initiatives, set targets, and oversee donor engagement to meet financial goals.
• Increase the organization’s relevance, reputation, and visibility within the community.
• Oversee program delivery to ensure effectiveness and alignment with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior leadership or executive management, preferably within nonprofit or community‑focused organizations.
• Strong track record of building strategic partnerships and securing funding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to inspire teams, drive results, and uphold the organization’s values.
