Experienced Machine Operator – Packaging Production

About the role

The client, a manufacturing company specializing in PP woven, non‑woven and other packaging bags, is looking for an experienced Machine Operator to run, set up and maintain production machinery. The role involves ensuring efficient machine operation, meeting production specifications and maintaining quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, set up and monitor extrusion, printing, cutting, bag‑making and finishing equipment.
• Adjust machine parameters such as temperature, speed, pressure, tension and dimensions according to production specs.
• Carry out product and material changeovers, including rolls, reels and tooling.
• Monitor performance, identify defects and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform first‑level preventive maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, inspections and component replacement.
• Diagnose routine mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues, escalating major breakdowns as needed.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications while minimizing waste.

Required profile

• Technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Practical experience operating and maintaining industrial manufacturing machinery.
• Experience in PP woven, non‑woven or plastic bag production (highly preferred).
• Ability to work independently under pressure and as part of a production team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Electrical troubleshooting and machine setup.
• Preventive maintenance and basic machine repairs.
• Understanding of production parameters and quality‑control procedures.
