Expert Clinical Programmer

About the role

The Expert Clinical Programmer will design, develop, and deliver analytical reports and visualisations that support global drug development teams. You will translate complex clinical data into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain reports, analytics and visualisations for multiple line functions within Global Drug Development.
• Deliver clear, actionable reports on clinical data monitoring for key stakeholders.
• Author user requirements, functional specifications and testing scripts.
• Collaborate with end‑users to define specifications and guide programmers.
• Provide quantitative analytical support to global program teams and assist in trial planning, execution and close‑out.
• Support the preparation and delivery of analytics reports for critical decision‑making.
• Maintain documentation and train end‑users on data review tools.
• Lead or support special projects, both clinical and non‑clinical, including system and process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in clinical review, reporting programming or business analytics within pharma, CRO or life‑science environments.
• Strong understanding of drug development processes, ICH‑GCP, CDISC standards and health authority regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, quality focus and ability to manage time effectively.

Required skills

• Programming languages: SQL, PL/SQL, C#, VBScript, SAS, Python, R.
• Business Intelligence / data review tools: Spotfire, Review.
• Clinical data management systems or relational databases: OC/RDC, INFORM, RAVE.
