Face-to-Face Fundraiser – Public Engagement

About the role

The Face-to-Face Fundraiser represents Médecins Sans Frontières in public locations, engaging passers‑by in informed conversations about MSF’s humanitarian missions and encouraging them to become regular or one‑off donors.

Key responsibilities

• Approach and engage members of the public at assigned sites, delivering clear narratives about MSF’s humanitarian work.
• Convert interested individuals into regular monthly donors or single‑gift donors using approved forms and digital tools.
• Meet daily KPIs for donor sign‑ups and quality of engagement.
• Capture donor information in line with data‑protection protocols and refer unresolved enquiries.
• Participate in a four‑person pilot team, attend trainings, and report daily activity.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluency in English and Swahili; additional languages a plus.
• At least one year of experience in sales, fundraising, customer engagement or community outreach.
• Strong interpersonal skills, resilience and ability to handle rejection.
• Commitment to humanitarian values and MSF principles.

Required skills

• Ability to use MSF‑approved digital donation tools.
• Accurate data entry and record‑keeping following data‑protection standards.

What we offer

• Annual salary of EUR 8,534 (HQ Grade 2) with 2 % yearly increment.
• Work‑life balance allowance of EUR 247‑295 per month.
• 25 days annual leave, pension contribution and medical insurance for staff and family.
• One‑year renewable full‑time contract based in Nairobi.
