About the role
The Facilities Attendant will support the safety, security and general upkeep of Amref Health Africa’s institutional facilities, including student residences. The role involves routine inspections, maintenance reporting, housekeeping and event support to ensure a comfortable and secure environment for students and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Enforce hostel policies on visiting hours and ensure strict adherence to timekeeping.
- Uphold safety and security standards in hostels, monitor compliance with security protocols and protect students and their property.
- Patrol hostel premises regularly, checking for running water, misplaced items, hazards or maintenance needs.
- Ensure all security lights are operational, promptly report and follow up on repairs or replacements.
- Manage the issuing, tracking and safe return of keys, maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct daily inspections of operational areas and facilities to identify issues and coordinate corrective actions.
