Factory Manager – Apparel Production

About the role

The Factory Manager will lead the end‑to‑end apparel production hub in Kikambala, overseeing all stages from cutting to finishing and packing. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures safety compliance, product quality, on‑time delivery and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the apparel manufacturing line, coordinating cutting, sewing, finishing and packing activities.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and internal standards.
• Monitor production schedules, quality metrics and cost targets, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and coach the workforce, fostering skill development and continuous improvement.
• Lead process optimisation initiatives and drive operational excellence through systematic improvements.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external clients to align production output with demand.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing manufacturing or apparel production facilities.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements in a production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets and meet production targets.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
