About the role
Christian Blind Mission (CBM) seeks an experienced consultant to lead a feasibility study for the Lishe, Elimu na Afya (LEA) Project in Turkana County, Kenya. The assignment is a 30‑day consultancy scheduled for October 2026, focusing on inclusive early childhood education, health, nutrition and water‑sanitation‑hygiene (WASH) services.
Key responsibilities
- Assess the feasibility of the proposed LEA Project under current social, economic, institutional and environmental conditions in Turkana County.
- Examine whether the project approach can plausibly achieve intended health, nutrition, development and learning outcomes.
- Provide evidence‑based recommendations to strengthen project design, intervention logic, implementation approach, sustainability mechanisms and monitoring framework before submission to BMZ.
- Conduct participatory, disability‑inclusive data collection, analysis and stakeholder consultations.
Required profile
- 5–9 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, education, health or related development fields.
- Demonstrated experience conducting feasibility or impact studies in low‑resource settings, preferably in Kenya or similar contexts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with local partners, communities and disability‑inclusive stakeholders.
- Valid business registration and tax compliance certificates.
