Feed Technical Officer

About the role

The Feed Technical Officer provides practical technical support on animal feed products, livestock feeding practices and product performance. Working closely with sales, quality, production and operations teams, the officer helps customers and farmers improve feed usage and resolve technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to customers and farmers on appropriate feed usage and livestock feeding practices.
• Conduct farm and customer visits together with sales and technical teams.
• Investigate and resolve feed‑related customer complaints, collecting samples and coordinating analysis.
• Monitor feed/product performance and deliver structured feedback to internal teams.
• Support product trials, technical demonstrations and follow‑up activities.
• Train farmers and customers on feed usage, livestock management and good feeding practices.
• Prepare technical reports covering visits, observations, product performance and recommended actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production, Agriculture or a related discipline.
• Practical knowledge of animal feeds, feed ingredients and livestock production.
• Relevant experience in the animal feed industry, preferably with exposure to dairy, poultry, swine or other livestock sectors.
• Experience providing customer or technical support in the feed sector is preferred.
