Field Agent - Agribusiness

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Field Agent based in Lavington, Kenya, in the agribusiness sector. The agent carries out field operations and project implementation across Kenya, supporting farmers and project teams while collecting and reporting field data.

Key responsibilities

• Visit farms, project sites and other field locations regularly, making sure activities follow project objectives and timelines.
• Understand each project and its purpose so that relevant information, activities and deliverables are captured.
• Coordinate with farmers, project teams, suppliers and other stakeholders, and build positive working relationships with them.
• Communicate basic agricultural information to farmers and escalate technical or operational matters where needed.
• Collect, verify, organise and maintain accurate field data, photos and observations, and submit daily and periodic reports on activities, findings, challenges and follow-ups.
• Support field teams with the procurement and coordination of raw materials and resources.
• Attend company meetings, briefings and training, and give regular feedback on farmer needs, project progress and market observations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Project Management or a related field.
• Previous experience in field operations, agriculture, agribusiness, project implementation or farmer engagement.
• Basic understanding of agricultural practices, farming operations and rural environments.
• Experience working directly with farmers, farmer groups or rural communities is an added advantage.
• Ability to collect, analyse and report field data accurately.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Kenya.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital data collection tools.
