Field Based Account Manager – LPG

About the role

The Field Based Account Manager (FBAM) for Packed LPG will drive volume, profitability and debt results across Nairobi, while building strong customer and distributor relationships. This role focuses on both defending existing market share and pursuing growth opportunities in a competitive LPG market.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial and non‑financial LPG business targets through disciplined implementation of functional plans.
• Develop and execute LPG business plans and strategies aligned with Vivo Energy’s vision.
• Manage distributor portfolios, optimise route‑to‑market structures and increase cylinder turnover.
• Control metal loss, manage credit, collect debt and ensure timely invoicing.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts for S&OP and support regulatory engagement with government and industry.
• Maintain market intelligence, implement marketing promotions and conduct technical training for distributors and POS.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE requirements, conduct audits and support supply chain delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in sales and marketing, preferably in FMCG channel/distributor management.
• Proven experience in selling, negotiation, marketing strategy and team management.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
