About the role
The Field Specialist – ALS works on‑site with customers to install, pull and maintain Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and related artificial lift equipment in offshore and onshore oil and water wells.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, assemble and install ESP submersible equipment, tubing and cable banding.
- Monitor system electrical integrity, calculate surface voltage, select transformer connections and wire sizes.
- Troubleshoot, test and repair downhole ESP equipment to maximise well productivity and pump life.
- Perform specialised electrical work such as VSD repairs, pressure‑system troubleshooting and switchboard rewiring.
- Carry out all levels of maintenance, inspection and commissioning of artificial lift equipment.
Required profile
- Two‑year technical diploma.
- Minimum 2 years experience with ESP submersible equipment and artificial lift systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, fault‑find and perform field repairs.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to guide clients through technical decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Required skills
- Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) installation and maintenance.
- Variable Speed Drives (VSD) knowledge.
- Automated system troubleshooting.
- Electrical installation, voltage calculation and safety device verification.
- Downhole pressure system diagnostics.
