Finance Data & Analytics Engineer

About the role

The Finance Data & Analytics Engineer will design, build, and maintain the financial data infrastructure that powers reporting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with finance teams to translate business needs into reliable data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop interactive dashboards and scorecards using Power BI and OBIEE for performance monitoring.
• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses with SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, or comparable AWS services.
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial data models, automated workflows, and data validation frameworks.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and finance stakeholders (Accounting, FP&A) to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance through robust governance policies and documentation.
• Maintain technical artefacts such as data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, and pipeline runbooks.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, preferably supporting finance or enterprise reporting.
• 2‑3 years of experience in the banking industry is a plus.
• Degree in Finance, Commerce, IT, Data Science or a related field.
• Strong communication skills to work with finance stakeholders and translate requirements into data products.
