Finance Intern – Accounts Payable Support

About the role

The Finance Intern will provide administrative and accounting support to the Finance & Strategy department, with a primary focus on the Accounts Payable function. This role offers hands‑on experience in payment processing, supplier documentation, and financial record‑keeping while working under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts Payable Support – receive, verify, and organize supplier invoices, match them with purchase orders, contracts and goods received notes, and capture them in the accounting system.
• Payment Processing & Reconciliation – prepare payment schedules, assist in reconciling supplier statements and respond to routine supplier queries regarding payment status.
• Filing and Documentation – maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems for finance documents, ensuring all vouchers and supporting documents are complete before filing.
• Financial Administration – assist in preparing account reconciliations, support month‑end activities, maintain accurate supplier master records, and help prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• CPA Part I completed (CPA Part II is an added advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with a basic understanding of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.
• High accuracy, strong organizational skills, good analytical and numerical capabilities, integrity and a willingness to learn.
