Finance Intern

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Finance Intern to support its financial operations across a global humanitarian network. This role offers hands‑on experience in accounts payable, cash management, budgeting, and general ledger reconciliation while contributing to the organization’s mission of helping vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the EARO invoices mailbox and process invoices on provision.
• Review pending purchase orders quarterly and prepare monthly creditor reconciliations.
• Liaise with vendors and the Finance Officer to resolve disputed items and clear outstanding bank reconciliation items.
• Process cash requests, coordinate with onsite bank tellers, and manage corporate credit‑card expense reporting.
• Perform general ledger and inter‑office payment settlement reconciliations.
• Maintain document management and archiving records, ensuring proper filing and retrieval for auditors and government agencies.
• Participate in operational budgeting, financial reporting review meetings, and prepare ad‑hoc financial analyses.
• Support event and facilities management and undertake additional administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• A degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or ACCA Level 2 knowledge preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities and capacity to work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to a Christ‑centred, humanitarian work environment and high professional ethics.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software and other financial management tools.
