Finance Officer

About the role

Farsight Africa Group is looking for a hands‑on Finance Officer to manage day‑to‑day finance and administration functions. The role supports bookkeeping, payroll documentation, expense tracking and compliance within a lean team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of payments, invoices, receipts, petty cash and expenses; support basic bookkeeping and reconciliations.
• Coordinate office administration, procurement documentation, travel logistics and HR onboarding paperwork.
• Assist with statutory compliance by preparing documents for KRA, NHIF/SHIF, NSSF, PAYE and VAT filings.
• Prepare simple monthly finance and admin updates; track payments, consultants and statutory obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in finance support, bookkeeping or office management, preferably in consulting, NGO or project‑based environments.
• Strong organisational skills, high integrity and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with Google Drive.
• Basic accounting or finance software knowledge.

What we offer

• Monthly net salary of $600, subject to experience and qualifications.
