Finance & Reporting Analyst – Programme (Nairobi)

About the role

The Programme Finance and Reporting Analyst will support UNEP's programmes in Nairobi by managing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities. The role ensures accurate financial data, compliance with donor requirements, and effective use of analytical tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform budget planning, analysis and monitoring for programmes.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports for GEF projects.
• Manage financial data using Power BI and ERP systems, including SAP Grantor and Fund Management modules.
• Support business intelligence reporting and data analytics activities.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in Administration, Accounts, Finance or related field (or first‑level degree with two years relevant experience).
• Professional certification such as CPA, CA or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience in project administration, finance and budgeting.
• Experience with GEF projects is required.

Required skills

• Microsoft Data Analysis certification.
• Advanced Financial modelling certification.
• Proficiency with Power BI.
• Experience with SAP (Grantor and Fund Management modules).
• Business Intelligence reporting expertise.
• ERP systems knowledge.
• Data analytics capabilities.
