About the role
The Financial Accountant will manage finance and accounting functions, tax compliance and service support for Samsung Electronics East Africa, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger, profit & loss, balance sheet management, and ensure accurate postings.
- Manage accounts receivable, credit, and accounts payable processes, including vendor registration and payment approvals.
- Handle cost centre allocations, depreciation, tax withholding calculations, and periodic closing activities.
- Design and implement tax management processes, manage tax provisions, compliance, audits and risk controls.
Required profile
- BSc in Business, Finance or related field.
- Proven experience in finance and accounting management, with tax expertise.
- Experience with Big 4 audit firms is a plus.
- Strong analytical, planning and communication skills.
Required skills
- ERP systems such as SAP HANA.
