Financial Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

Keitt Exporters Limited, a leading East African agribusiness, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its finance leadership team in Nairobi. The role will drive financial performance across farming, processing, and export operations while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all finance and accounting functions.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and financial models to support strategic decisions.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and overall financial performance.
• Oversee inventory accounting, product costing and financial controls for manufacturing and agricultural activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements and tax regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and strengthen internal controls.
• Partner with production, procurement, commercial and operations teams to improve business performance.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Drive ERP implementation and continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of finance and accounting experience.
• At least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing and internal controls.
• Experience in production‑based businesses such as agriculture, food processing or FMCG manufacturing.
