Financial Controller – Hospitality Finance Leader

About the role

The Financial Controller functions as the property's strategic financial business leader. This role champions, develops, and implements property‑wide strategies that meet brand expectations while maximizing return on investment and delivering desirable financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Decision Making: analyse financial data and market trends, forecast sales against expenses, create annual budget plans and develop means to improve profits and operational efficiency.
• Accounting Team Leadership: lead, influence and encourage accounting teams by communicating strategic goals clearly, assigning accountability and fostering a culture of high performance and integrity.
• Goals & Reporting: support property strategies from a finance perspective, ensure accurate profit and loss documentation, submit timely reports and review audit results.
• Project & Policy Management: monitor applicable taxes to ensure they are current, collected or accrued; oversee internal, external and regulatory audits; ensure full compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Stakeholder Management: meet owner expectations and ROI objectives, advise the General Manager and executive committee on financial issues and attend owner meetings to provide context on financial results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar financial controller role.
• Luxury hospitality background is required.
