About the role
The Fleet New Technology Adviser guides ICRC fleet technical staff worldwide, ensuring high maintenance and service standards while acting as the know‑how leader on emerging transportation technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Supports users by proposing technical solutions and providing training.
- Centralises technical requests and liaises with delegations to resolve issues.
- Communicates with vehicle manufacturers’ technical hubs for support.
- Ensures technicians have access to specialised tools and manufacturer websites.
- Creates technical notes or repair manuals and shares them with stakeholders.
- Organises preventive and curative visits using the Renault Diagnostic Tool and advises on troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical problems.
- Maintains diagnostic tools inventory and oversees training on their use.
- Guides delegations in selecting and purchasing diagnostics or specialised tools.
- Monitors emerging vehicle technologies and proposes process improvements, including hybrid, electric and solar solutions.
Required profile
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with industrial vehicles, mechatronics or lifting equipment.
- Previous experience with international organisations is an asset.
- Fluent English; French knowledge is an asset.
- Valid truck driving licence with articulated vehicle endorsement; forklift or boat certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organisational and negotiation abilities.
- Willingness to travel regularly to various countries.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with asset‑management ERP systems.
- Use of Renault Diagnostic Tool and other vehicle diagnostic equipment.
- Truck driving licence (articulated) and optional forklift/boat certifications.
