Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

The Food & Beverage Manager will lead all F&B operations for our hospitality portfolio in Mombasa, ensuring seamless service delivery, cost efficiency and guest satisfaction. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Overall management of food and beverage operations, including day‑to‑day supervision.
• Recruit, train, coach and evaluate staff performance to build a high‑performing team.
• Control food and beverage costs through budgeting, inventory management and waste reduction.
• Develop and implement revenue‑boosting strategies such as upselling and promotional offers.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
• Maintain menu quality, service standards and compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Prepare departmental budgets, financial reports and monitor performance against targets.
• Coordinate procurement, liaise with kitchen, front office, housekeeping and finance departments.
• Oversee event, banquet and function planning to meet client expectations.
• Implement standard operating procedures and service standards across all outlets.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience with at least five years in food and beverage management.
• Proven track record in staff supervision, training and performance management.
• Strong background in cost control, inventory management and revenue generation.
• Excellent knowledge of hygiene, food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen, front office, housekeeping and finance teams.
