Food Processing Technician

About the role

The Food Processing Technician will support practical teaching and research activities within the institute’s food processing laboratory. This full‑time position involves preparing classes, maintaining equipment, and producing food products while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare practical class materials, allocate students, and keep detailed records of usage, loss and breakage.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, ensure safety compliance, and keep equipment clean and ready for the next session.
• Issue materials and equipment during practical sessions and perform routine maintenance of food processing equipment.
• Produce food products in the processing section following prescribed recipes and procedures.
• Collect and prepare teaching and research materials, and support procurement activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Food Processing and Science Technology (or equivalent).
• Minimum three years of relevant experience with a reputable institution.
• Computer literacy.
• Age above 25 years.
