Forklift Operator - Nyeri

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, is a manpower management firm operating across East Africa. On behalf of its client, a fast-growing Kenyan beverage company, it is recruiting a competent, skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to work in Nyeri. The role covers receiving, loading, unloading, transferring, storing and dispatching materials and finished goods while keeping inventory integrity, product quality and safety requirements intact.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials, packaging, finished goods and other inventory from trucks, containers and production areas, and move stock to storage, staging, production and dispatch locations safely.
• Perform put-away, replenishment, pallet retrieval and stock transfers, and stack and retrieve pallets according to warehouse procedures and load limits.
• Verify item identity, quantities, batch numbers, status and locations before moving stock, record movements accurately and report discrepancies, damage and inventory risks.
• Support cycle counts, stock takes and variance investigations.
• Carry out pre-use forklift inspections, complete daily checklists, report defects and keep forklifts clean and serviceable.
• Follow occupational safety, food safety, quality, environmental and security requirements, warehouse traffic rules and 5S housekeeping standards, and wear required PPE.
• Work closely with warehouse, production, transport and quality teams, provide clear handovers and perform other duties assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Required profile

• Forklift and reach-truck certification from a recognised institution.
• Valid NTSA Category G (Plant Operator) licence, maintained.
• Certificate or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Warehousing is an added advantage.
• At least 2 years of relevant warehouse, depot, stores, manufacturing or inventory experience is preferred.
