Founding Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

About the role

DAAT is building the context layer that turns fragmented company activity into structured, usable understanding. As a Founding Engineer you will help create the AI infrastructure that lets intelligent software understand a workspace without flattening its reality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core product and infrastructure for ingestion, comprehension, synthesis, memory, and agent interfaces.
• Build systems that preserve source reality, provenance, uncertainty, and tenant boundaries.
• Ship full‑stack product surfaces that make complex company context simple and usable.
• Engage with users to identify bottlenecks and translate operational pain into product decisions.
• Shape architecture, product direction, and engineering standards from day one.

Required profile

• Strong backend and systems instincts with a product‑mindset.
• High agency: notice problems, propose solutions, and drive them to completion.
• Comfort with ambiguity and founder‑speed execution.
• Quiet ambition, high conviction, and low ego.

Required skills

• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)
