Fraud Data Analyst

About the role

NALA is looking for a Fraud Data Analyst to bridge fraud investigation and rule development. You will turn individual case judgments into actionable improvements for our fraud detection system, ensuring a smooth experience for genuine customers while protecting the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Review false‑positive cases, quantify impact, and propose fixes that reduce friction without increasing risk.
• Classify confirmed fraud cases into detailed typologies (e.g., ATO, card testing, mule networks) with evidence‑backed case packs.
• Translate findings into clear rule‑change proposals and collaborate with the rule‑implementation team.
• Respond quickly to fraud spikes, investigate root causes, and recommend both immediate and long‑term solutions.
• Leverage AI‑augmented tools to accelerate triage and drafting while validating outputs against raw data.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in fraud investigations, payment risk, or AML transaction monitoring, preferably in a fast‑growing fintech, remittance, or PSP environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• SQL – ability to write complex queries independently and validate data at scale.
