About the role
Perle, an AI infrastructure company, is looking for native Oromo speakers to join its remote freelance transcription team. You will convert two‑speaker, channel‑separated audio recordings into accurate, timestamped text files.
Key responsibilities
- Listen to 2‑speaker Oromo audio files and transcribe every spoken word.
- Label each turn as Speaker 1 or Speaker 2, matching the audio channel.
- Insert timestamps (HH:MM:SS) at the start of each speaker turn.
- Deliver clean, sequential transcripts with no unexplained gaps.
- Meet daily output targets of at least 4 hours of transcription.
Required profile
- Native or near‑native fluency in spoken and written Oromo.
- Strong command of Oromo spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Reliable computer and stable internet connection.
- Ability to work independently and meet quality standards.
- Availability for a minimum of 4 hours per day.
Required skills
- Audio transcription (manual).
