Front Office Cashier

About the role

The Front Office Cashier is the primary point of contact for guests at the hotel desk, handling all financial transactions and ensuring a smooth check‑in and check‑out experience. This role combines accurate cash handling with high‑level customer service in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle guest check‑ins, check‑outs and front desk transactions.
• Receive and process cash, card and other guest payments accurately.
• Prepare and reconcile guest accounts and daily cashier reports.
• Address guest inquiries and deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping and Finance teams.
• Ensure billing and payment procedures are followed correctly.
• Assist with general front office duties as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Front Office Operations, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a hotel front office or cashiering role.
• Proven experience using Opera Cloud PMS (mandatory).
• Previous experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel billing, cashiering and payment procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong numerical, reconciliation and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Professional grooming and guest‑handling capabilities.
• Honest, reliable and able to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
