Frontend Developer – React.js (Fixed-Term, 1 Year)

About the role

Britam is looking for a Frontend Developer to join the Betalab team within the Partnership and Digital department. You will design, build and maintain responsive, interactive user interfaces using React.js, working closely with designers, backend engineers and product managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible UI components with React.js.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers and product managers to deliver new features.
• Optimize applications for speed, performance and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Integrate with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) and manage state using Redux, Context API or other libraries.
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning and agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve frontend issues promptly.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest frontend technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and React.js.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and modern CSS frameworks.
• Familiarity with state‑management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, Context API, etc.).
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
• Knowledge of frontend build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Babel, etc.).
