Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join a globally distributed technology team focused on building innovative digital experiences for millions of users. In a remote‑first environment, you will embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead quality strategy for a cross‑functional product squad, aligning testing approaches with business objectives and product risks.
• Partner with Product and Engineering during planning and design to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and measurable.
• Enable development teams to own quality by promoting effective testing practices and implementing automated testing across multiple layers.
• Establish scalable testing frameworks, automation patterns, quality standards, and maintainable testing boundaries.
• Conduct exploratory testing in high‑risk or business‑critical areas to uncover issues and validate behavior.
• Drive adoption of quality tools, CI/CD best practices, and shared engineering standards.
• Provide visibility into product quality by identifying risks, coverage gaps, and communicating trade‑offs.
• Mentor team members and champion modern quality approaches, including AI‑assisted testing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, or a related role within cross‑functional product teams.
• Proven experience with complex software systems such as APIs, distributed architectures, and cloud‑based platforms.
• Strong understanding of unit, integration, system, and end‑to‑end testing methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation and its integration into modern delivery pipelines.
