Fulfillment Buyer – Procurement Officer

About the role

The Fulfillment Buyer will support uninterrupted production at our Kisumu Tiles Factory by managing the end‑to‑end procurement of raw materials. You will work closely with geological teams, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and track delivery of raw materials to avoid production gaps.
• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on purchase orders until successful delivery.
• Support raw‑material sourcing, exploration, and quality‑tracking activities.
• Visit suppliers, quarries, and mining sites to verify material availability and quality.
• Liaise with internal teams to align procurement schedules with production needs.
• Resolve delivery delays, quality issues, and supplier‑related challenges.
• Maintain accurate procurement and delivery records and prepare periodic reports.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, raw‑material sourcing, or supplier management.
• Experience with raw materials, mining, quarry operations, or manufacturing is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including market visits and international travel when required.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
