FutureKind Strategic Catalyst

About the role

The FutureKind Strategic Catalyst will shape and mobilise innovative ideas that define the future of displacement. Working from Nairobi, you will collaborate with displaced communities, host governments, philanthropists and creative partners to turn concepts into funded initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify emerging needs and generate new ideas through co‑creation workshops and stakeholder engagement (30% of time).
• Develop compelling narratives that communicate the impact of FutureKind projects to partners and donors.
• Build and nurture relationships with governments, NGOs, entrepreneurs and funders to secure resources and strategic support.
• Translate promising concepts into concrete initiatives, preparing proposals and partnership agreements.
• Coordinate closely with the FutureKind strategy team, marketing & engagement, and country teams to ensure alignment and impact.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in idea generation, strategic partnership development or innovation within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong ability to listen deeply to diverse stakeholders and synthesize insights into actionable plans.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with a track record of securing funding or strategic commitments.
• Willingness to travel frequently to Uganda and Rwanda.
