General Manager Kenya

About the role

Marginpar, a global leader in floriculture, is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee its extensive operations across Kenya. Reporting directly to the Group CEO and collaborating with international leadership, you will drive operational excellence, sustainable growth, and people development across multiple farms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete Kenyan operation, including several farms and diverse teams.
• Translate corporate strategy into actionable operational plans, improving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and key performance indicators.
• Develop leadership capabilities and nurture a strong organizational culture.
• Ensure compliance with sustainability, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, authorities, and communities.
• Support long‑term operational and organizational development initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior management experience (minimum 10 years) in agribusiness, horticulture, food, or manufacturing.
• Strong track record managing large workforces and complex operations.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build trust across cultures.
• Adaptable leadership style that values diverse perspectives and fosters collaboration.
• Resilience under pressure and a commitment to authentic, people‑focused management.
