Geologist – Exploration & Drilling (Permanent)

About the role

The Geologist will lead long‑term planning, preparation, verification and implementation of the Division’s mandates, including detailed geochemical exploration, trenching, rock chip sampling and exploratory drilling to define and model mineral targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field exploration for economically valuable rocks and mineral deposits.
• Identify and supervise drilling sites, including core logging and sampling.
• Perform geological site investigations and generate prospect‑level maps (lithological, structural, mineral resource and seismic profiles).
• Collect and interpret additional geological, geochemical and geophysical data.
• Undertake post‑drilling analysis, chemical, mineralogical and microscopic examinations of samples.
• Compile, interpret and present exploration data for resource estimation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Geophysics, Engineering Geology or equivalent.
• Professional membership with the Geologists’ Registration Board (GRB) in good standing.
• Completion of a supervisory course of at least two weeks from a recognized institution.

What we offer

• Basic salary range KES 67,438 – 108,886 per annum.
• House allowance of KES 10,000.
• Commuter allowance of KES 4,000.
• Permanent, pensionable contract.
