Global Foundations Manager

About the role

Welthungerhilfe is seeking a Global Foundations Manager to diversify its funding base and strengthen long‑term philanthropic partnerships. Based in Nairobi, you will work virtually with country offices worldwide and the German headquarters to advance the organization’s Zero Hunger mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic foundation partnerships at global, regional, and local levels.
• Collaborate with country offices to create processes and structures for foundation fundraising.
• Build and maintain strong foundation pipelines, crafting compelling partnership opportunities.
• Coordinate directly with selected foundations operating in WHH’s target countries.
• Ensure aligned engagement and a coherent global donor‑relationship strategy across all offices.
• Contribute to the Philanthropy & Partnerships team’s virtual collaboration across time zones.

Required profile

• Proven experience in foundation fundraising and partnership development within the nonprofit or humanitarian sector.
• Ability to work across multiple countries and cultures, coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking and data‑informed decision‑making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
